Sophocles’ Electra, premiered at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus in 2025 and, after its successful tour in Greece and Cyprus, adapted for an indoor stage. Dimitris Tarlow presents a modern approach with a noir aesthetic, transporting the tragedy into a highly atmospheric "dark cabaret" universe.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest surviving masterpieces of ancient Greek drama, Sophocles' Electra plunges us into the darkest and most visceral chapter of the myth of the Atreidae: the fierce vengeance exacted by Agamemnon’s children for his unjust murder. Trapped in the bloody legacy of the cursed House of Αtreidae, Electra is no mere victim of fate - she is a force of her own making. Torn between the burning need for justice and the destructive cost of violence, she raises a fierce voice of resistance against a brutal regime.
