Annual Dinner 2015

The Annual Dinner, held in the Reading Room at St Andrew’s College University of Sydney, was a great success. There was much interest in the Conversation  beforehand between Dr Christopher Allen, Head of Art at Sydney Grammar School and himself a classicist, with Ms Frances Muecke, fondly regarded lecturer at Sydney University. Frances’s scholarly experience has also involved Melbourne, Oxford and Cambridge universities and her local encouragement has been crucial to the Latin Summer School and all the Classical Association’s endeavours. Chris Allen was a most thoughtful interviewer and it was generally accepted that the stimulation of the pre-dinner Conversation continued to help provide a most cheerful evening of members dining and talking together.
