NSW Institute of Teachers: All teachers should be aware of the role of this body in advancing teacher professionalism. The teacher accreditation process is mandatory for all teachers who have commenced working in a New South Wales school since October 2004.

National Institute for Quality Teaching and School Leadership is the national body for the teaching profession, promoting quality teaching and school leadership for the benefit of all Australians. The Institute has been established as an independent body with funding from the Australian Government, to operate by and for the teaching profession.
